U.S. Frantic Arms Buildup Assailed
Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- The U.S. Department of Defense is mulling the deployment of three squadrons of F-22 in the Asia-Pacific region. Global Hawk will reportedly be deployed in the U.S. Air Force base on Guam soon.

Meanwhile, the American Enterprise Institute worked out a "written proposal" demanding closer U.S.-Japan alliance to be submitted to Congress.

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday observes in a signed commentary in this regard:

The aim sought by the U.S. in bolstering its aggressor forces and sharply increasing their military operation capability in the Asia-Pacific region is to hold a military edge there and carry out the strategy for a preemptive attack on the targets designed by it.

The reality indicates that the U.S. scenario to realize its ambition for invading the DPRK and dominating Asia by making a shift to the strategy of task force from the strategy of using forces stationed in certain areas dating back to the period of the Cold War, mounting preemptive attacks by use of ultra-modern mobile strike means and strategic armed forces and waging an indiscriminate war has entered the phase of full-scale implementation.

In order to implement its Asia-Pacific strategy for aggression, the U.S. seeks to bind countries in the region to its military alliance and knock into shape a new NATO type military bloc of Asian version and make the best use of it. To this end, the U.S. is stepping up the arms buildup in the Asia-Pacific region and hastening the formation of the military alliance with the countries in the region.

The DPRK is made the main target of its preemptive attack and herein lies the purpose of its military steps.

The U.S. bellicose forces are escalating their moves for preemptive attack on the DPRK behind the scene of the six-party talks, thus gravely threatening peace and stability in Northeast Asia including the Korean Peninsula and exacerbating the tension there. This is a reckless military action going against the trend of the present situation and little short of planting a time-bomb in the way of the six-party talks.

The U.S. warlike forces would be well advised to face up to the trend of the times and give up the military hysteria disturbing dialogue and peace.
