General Secretary Kim Jong Il recently sent more books and CDs to it.

He has presented at least 1,000 volumes of books of more than 290 kinds and over 100 CDs to the house in 30 installments this year.

Among them are scientific and technological books helpful to accelerating the nation's scientific and technological development and raising the level of knowledge of officials, working people and school youth and children.

They also include books which help the readers acquire core and basic technology about scientific and technological development in the present times including knowledge about different fields of the national economy, IT, NANO technology and bio-engineering and books that help working people lead a diverse cultural and emotional life and widen their common sense.
