After seeing the modern Fireproof Materials Shop and the Room for General Analysis furnished with latest equipment, he expressed great satisfaction over the fact that the officials, workers and technicians of the enterprise and teachers and researchers of Kim Chaek University of Technology have successfully completed the projects by their own efforts and with indigenous technology by pooling their creative wisdom and waging a tenacious drive. He highly appreciated their feats.

Thanks to the painstaking inquiry and devoted efforts of the February 17 Shock Brigade of Scientists and Technicians made up of technicians of the enterprise and teachers and researchers of the university the process of producing firebricks with raw materials available in the country and analyzing process have been updated, making it possible to radically boost the steel production and significantly improve the quality of steel, while cutting down manpower, the use of materials and melting time as much as possible, he said, adding that this signifies a revolution in the nation's steel industry.

Noting that the teachers and students of Kim Chaek University of Technology are successfully performing a vanguard role in putting industry on a modern and scientific basis, he appreciated the efforts made by them, intensely loyal to the Party and the revolution.

The enterprise has dynamically pushed forward the work to satisfactorily solve a lot of scientific and technological problems and realize the scientification and modernization of the production processes by paying primary attention to the technical revolution as required by the WPK's idea of attaching importance to science and technology, thereby bringing about a fresh turn in the steel production, he noted, adding that the experience gained by the enterprise goes to prove that the master key to increasing production lies in the technological progress.

Pointing out that they have waged a dynamic drive to keep production going on at a high rate and attain a higher goal with revolutionary enthusiasm and creative ingenuity even under the situation where they were hard pressed for everything, thus face-lifting the enterprise and making a breakthrough towards increased production in a brief span of time, he emphasized that if all the factories and enterprises use their brain and make persevering efforts to carry out the Party policies just as they did, they can markedly boost the production and give full play to the potential of the Juche-based industry.

The WPK's line of economic construction which calls for putting the national economy on a Juche, modern and scientific basis has been successfully implemented, the foundation of the independent national economy has grown stronger thanks to the devoted efforts of all the people including workers and intellectuals and the country's industrialization has reached a higher level, he said, adding that thanks to this strong potential the accomplishment of the cause of building a great prosperous powerful nation is fully guaranteed.

Noting that it is very important for building an economic power to develop the steel industry, he set forth the tasks to be fulfilled by the enterprise.
