Many Fine Art Works Registered as National Treasure
Pyongyang, December 19 (KCNA) -- Lots of fine art works created this year have been registered as national treasure.

Among them are the pencil drawing "He says that the land belongs to the peasants who till it" showing the immortal feats performed by President Kim Il Sung in satisfying the century-old desire of the peasants, the Korean painting "Even at a midnight of mid-summer" depicting the leadership traits of General Secretary Kim Jong Il who always finds himself on the way of on-the-spot guidance for the happiness of the people and the oil painting "Sunday of the mother" showing the warm affection of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk for the bereaved children of revolutionaries for whom she devoted the rest on Sunday.

The newly-registered fine art pieces also include the poster "Let us beat louder the drum for general advance!", truthful oil paintings "Land distributed by the General" and "The time for preparing kimchi for the winter", the sculpture "Our chief sergeant" which is perfect in formative art and the Korean painting "Green forest" which embodies the unique form of national fine art.

The Korean painting "Bumper crop", oil paintings "In the same trench" and "The third spring" and sculpture "Heavily raining evening" and the like show the inherent ideological emotion and feelings of the nation, dynamic and varied strokes, unique and individual technique and high artistic talent of the artists. They enrich the treasure house of Juche fine art.

For their clear ideological and thematic contents and rich artistic quality, the works were highly appreciated and registered as national treasures at the festivals and exhibitions held this year.
