Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- It is a taboo to have any illusion about the treacherous ruling quarters. This is a bitter lesson the south Korean people have drawn, reviewing the past one year. Rodong Sinmun Saturday says this in a signed article. It goes on: What the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors has done under the signboard of "pragmatism" is nothing but such acts of treachery as hurting the dignity and interests of the nation while kowtowing to foreign forces. These crimes have driven the inter-Korean relations to the worst crisis and increased the danger of a nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula. What the Lee group has done against the nation, pursuing sycophancy and increasing the dependence upon foreign forces and stepping up the moves against reunification and escalating confrontation in utter disregard of the will and desire of the people is touching off unanimous denunciation among various circles in south Korea as it is absolutely unpardonable. It is silly to pin any hope on this group of traitors who have adversely affected the independent development of the nation and the movement for the peaceful reunification of the country, swimming against the trend of the times. It is only the strength of the Koreans and the concerted efforts of the fellow countrymen on which they can count. Ways of realizing the desire of the south Korean people to live and develop independently and the aspiration of all the fellow countrymen to enjoy peace and prosperity in the reunified country are clearly indicated in the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration. There is nothing to fear when all Koreans go united close under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration. |
