Pyongyang, December 23 (KCNA) -- The Grand National Party of south Korea, a party of the puppet conservative forces, is working hard to railroad all sorts of undemocratic laws through the "National Assembly" within the year, according to CBS and KBS of south Korea. The GNP gentries termed what happened when "the motion calling for the ratification of south Korea-U.S. FTA" was brought for discussion at the NA on Dec. 18 "rowdyism of anti-U.S. elements" and threatened to "strongly deal" with this. The floor leader of the GNP, addressing a meeting of the "committee of measures for examining bills" held inside the puppet National Assembly on December 19, asserted that if the above-said FTA is not cleared within 2008, this will create big confusion, adding that the action taken the previous day to put the matter on the agenda of the session was an unavoidable measure. The Democratic Labor Party in a statement branded the GNP's unilateral passage of the above-said motion through the meeting of the "Committee of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Unification of the National Assembly" as "a tyrannical parliamentary action that completely ignored the people's opinion" and declared its will to carry on the vigorous struggle to deter the "motion" from passing through the NA. The representative of the Democratic Party of south Korea said that the Lee Myung Bak regime is an incompetent government that deepened the economic crisis in less than one year of its office and a regime that sparked a double crisis as it brought democracy and the inter-Korean relations one or two decades back. A spokesman for the Democratic Party of south Korea charged that only lawmakers from the GNP gathered and unilaterally brought up the above-said motion for discussion and declared this arrogant action totally null and void. Legislators from the Democratic Party of south Korea occupied the room of the speaker of the puppet National Assembly on Dec. 19 before entering into a sit-in strike to hold in check the anachronistic wrongdoings of the GNP going against democracy and the unilateral discussion of the said "motion." |
