More than 50 kinds of immortal works of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il were published or reprinted as of the end of November.

Kim Jong Il's work "The Democratic People's Republic of Korea Is a Socialist State of Juche with Invincible Might" came off the press to be very popular among the members of the Workers' Party of Korea and other working people.

New books helpful to the education in the revolutionary traditions were brought out and various books were reprinted and enlarged editions of books came off the press.

60 kinds of books helpful to the education in the revolutionary traditions including Vols. 71-77 of "Among the People" dealing with the President's wise leadership and noble virtues were published or reprinted as of early in December.

This year also witnessed the publication and distribution of lots of diverse socio-political books and literary and art books. Among them are books praising the greatness of the WPK and others helpful to the revolutionary education and working class education and books that help readers deeply understand the Korean history and the world history.

Newly published and distributed are full-length novels including "A Prelude to Spring" from a cycle of novels "Immortal Leadership" representing Kim Jong Il's revolutionary history, "Women's Song" from a cycle of novels "On the Road of Loyalty" representing the anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk's revolutionary history and "Star over the Wide Plain" depicting the indomitable revolutionary fighter Kim Chol Ju's revolutionary history.

This year also saw the publication of various other novels and collections of poems.
