Pyongyang, December 23 (KCNA) -- The Emergency Measure Committee for Frustrating the Crackdown upon Participants in Candlelight Actions, Moves for Scrapping the June 15 Joint Declaration and October 4 Declaration and the Plot to Fake up a Case for Suppressing the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration of south Korea made public a statement on Dec. 18 to denounce the puppet prosecution authorities for their suppression of progressive forces. The statement accused the prosecution authorities of demanding a fine for Kang Ki Gap, representative of the Democratic Labor Party, on the charge of violation of the "law on election." Such rash action taken by the prosecution is touching off indignation among all the people, the statement said, adding that this goes to clear prove that the "government" and the ruling party are all out to "liquidate the Democratic Labor Party." Lee Myung Bak and the Grand National Party of south Korea are regarding the above-said party as a thorn in their flesh as it has struggled against the dictatorial policy, it charged, branding the above-said case as a politically-motivated retaliation and suppression of the Democratic Labor Party. |
