The statement accused the GNP group of bringing up the "motion calling for south Korea-U.S. FTA" for the discussion at the "National Assembly" on Dec. 18 after totally blockading the conference hall and using even fire extinguishers, in the wake of railroading the "bill on reducing taxes" and the budget bill for 2009 through it. This is touching off public protest at home and abroad, it noted, and continued:

This high-handed action taken by the GNP gentries termed "a military operation" is nothing but a fascist dictatorial action aimed at attaining their despicable political and strategic purpose in utter disregard of the people's will.

What the GNP rammed through the NA calls for selling off the destiny of the nation to the U.S., serving the rich only and killing the common people, it deplored.

It demanded the GNP make an apology to the people and dissolve itself immediately.
