Pyongyang, December 25 (KCNA) -- The sports contest for Osandok Cup, which was opened on Dec. 12 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk, closed with due ceremony at the Ice Rink today.
Players of the Pyongyang Winter Sports Group emerged winners in men's ice hockey, figure-skating and short track speed skating at the contest.
Present at the closing ceremony were Kim Jung Rin, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned and sportspersons.
Addressing the ceremony, Pak Hak Son, chairman of the Physical Culture and Sports Guidance Commission, called on all players and coaches to remain faithful to the leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il and glorify the honor of Songun Korea with gold medals.
