Pyongyang, December 27 (KCNA) -- The Federation of Press Trade Unions of south Korea called a press conference outside the building of the "Grand National Party" on Dec. 24 at which it declared an all-out strike for checking the passage of the 7-point draft amendment for the retrogressive revision of law on media through the puppet National Assembly session, according to KBS of south Korea. At the press conference the federation asserted that to defend media is to defend freedom of all the media-persons. The federation clarified that it would launch an all-out strike totally denying the work related to newspaper and broadcasting services, etc. from Dec. 26. Noting that the strike is a legitimate and just struggle, the federation stated that it would struggle till the Lee Myung Bak regime and the Grand National Party repeal evil law on media and give up their ambition to put media under their control. |
