Minju Joson today observes in a signed commentary in this regard:

Frankly speaking, the fellow countrymen in the north are not the principal enemy of the south Korean people. It is none other than the United States which divided the Korean nation into two parts after occupying south Korea and which is working hard to create the danger of a new war, a nuclear war, in the way of independent reunification.

They regard the move for confrontation with fellow countrymen as the measures for prolonging their remaining days.

All the fellow countrymen are strongly calling for eliminating warmonger Ri Sang Hui as he has bedeviled the inter-Korean ties, crying out for the "preemptive strike" whenever an opportunity presented itself.

It is against this backdrop that he invented the farce of declaring the "ideological warfare" to imbue the soldiers with the "viewpoint on principal enemy" in a bid to curry favor with Lee Myung Bak keen on pursuing confrontation with fellow countrymen.

The people are becoming increasingly critical of Han Sung Su as he took the lead in the move of traitor Lee for dependence on foreign forces, revival of dictatorship and confrontation with fellow countrymen after taking office as "prime minister". Under such situation Han worked hard to incite the consciousness of confrontation with fellow countrymen visiting areas along the Military Demarcation Line in a bid to curry favor with Lee and maintain his post.

But Ri and Han would be well advised to be mindful that the confrontation with fellow countrymen is not a way for prolonging their remaining days but it will lead to their self-destruction.

Clear is that they are bound to meet severe judgment by the nation in return for those actions.

The war maniacs should properly understand this and behave with discretion.
