Saying that the unit has grown to be matchless combat ranks under the wise leadership and deep care of President Kim Il Sung, he stressed that the servicepersons should always bear deep in mind the profound loving care shown by the President for the unit.

He highly appreciated the feats performed by the unit, noting that it is a unit with a good tradition as it has always taken the lead in upholding the Songun leadership of the WPK by setting an example in the political and combat training for the entire army to follow and displaying popular heroism in defending the country and building socialism.

He dropped in at the hall for military lecture and gymnasium to acquaint himself with the military training before watching servicepersons' training.

He set forth tasks to be fulfilled by the unit to further increase its combat capability, expressing great satisfaction over the fact that all commanding officers and soldiers have grown to be a-match-for-a hundred fighters and admirably performed their combat duties, firmly determined to devotedly defend the socialist system centered on the people in the DPRK.

He walked round cultural and educational facilities to learn about how the political work is conducted among its servicepersons.

He praised the unit for having prepared the servicepersons as fighters strong in ideology by dynamically conducting the political work after successfully building cultural and educational facilities and established the habit of reading books, in particular, to make all of them enthusiastic readers.

Underscoring the need for the servicepersons to establish a revolutionary trait of learning and raise the rate of book use to encourage them to read more books, he indicated the ways to do so.

Then, he took warm care of the servicepersons' living, going round supply service facilities and other places of the unit.
