Pyongyang, December 30 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Art Troupe toured Vietnam on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of President Kim Il Sung's visit to this country. During the visit, the troupe gave performances before full house at a grand theater and an army theater in Hanoi and the August Theater in Hai Phong City from Dec. 17 to 22.
Put on the stage were male solo "Our Leader," female solo "Song Devoted to Comrade
Kim Jong Il," dance "Tondollari," female duet "A Bellflower," a Vietnamese song "Vietnam, My Native Home" and other colorful numbers.
Appreciating the performances were working people from different strata in Vietnam and foreigners staying there.
The Vietnamese minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the performances given by the Pyongyang Art Troupe this year marking the 50th anniversary of Kim Il Sung's visit to Vietnam and the 60th birthday of the DPRK were of weighty significance. And he expressed the will to contribute to further developing the cultural exchange between the two countries.
