Pyongyang, December 30 (KCNA) -- The Headquarters of the All-People Movement for Checking the Conclusion of the south Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement, the Lawmakers' Council to Cope with the Emergency Situation Opposed to the Hasty Ratification of the south Korea-U.S. FTA and other organizations of south Korea called a joint press conference at the "National Assembly" building on Dec. 26 at which they denounced the moves of the "Grand National Party" to railroad the "motion calling for the ratification of the south Korea-U.S. FTA" through it.
Speakers at the press conference accused the GNP of making haste to clear the said motion within the year, warning that if the GNP concludes the "agreement," seized with sycophancy, it will only touch off stronger distrust and resistance among the people.
Then a press release was read out. It stressed the need to fundamentally reexamine all the "trade policies" including the conclusion of the FTA with the U.S.
