Pyongyang, January 2 (KCNA) -- An inaugural ceremony for a Mongolian preparatory committee for commemorating the Day of the Sun and February 16 was held in Ulan Bator on Dec. 24 last year.
Present there were personages of the Mongolia-Korea Friendship Society, the Federation of Peace and Friendship Organizations of Mongolia, Mongolian Border Guard Unit 0151, the Mongolian HUM Company Ltd. and the Kim Jong Suk Kindergarten in Ulan Bator.
At the ceremony Ch. Surenjav, chairman of the society, was elected chairman of the committee.
The committee fixed the period from Jan. 2 to Apr. 25 as a commemoration period and decided to hold colorful political and cultural events in this period.
