Pyongyang, January 2 (KCNA) -- The U.S. Air Force is contemplating replacing all the window curtains of cockpits and fuselages of B-52s with heat-resistant ones from this year, asserting that there is limitation in preventing the heat and rays to be caused during the explosion of nuclear bombs right after their drop. Rodong Sinmun Friday observes in a signed commentary in this regard: This patently proves what extent the nuclear war hysteria of the U.S. bellicose forces have reached as this design is worked out on the premise of a start of a nuclear war. The U.S. war-thirsty forces' moves to mount a preemptive nuclear attack are assuming an increasing danger. The basic aim of the U.S. nuclear strategy is to make a preemptive nuclear strike. The U.S. replaced the "strategy for nuclear containment" worked out in the period of the Cold War with a strategy to mount a preemptive nuclear attack. The U.S. is putting spurs to the modernization of nuclear forces, regarding them as the mainstay of the military strategy in the new century. It has steadily rounded off the nuclear attack system by mobilizing a lot of nuclear attack means for various forms of military exercises. The said strategic bombers are playing a pivotal role in the U.S. strategic nuclear forces as the latest-type preemptive nuclear strike means. A few days ago, U.S. Congressmen were reported to have cried out for modernizing the U.S. naval warships and increasing their number in a bid to cope with the moves of the potential hostile states including Russia and China to beef up their naval forces. This outpouring is aimed at creating a favorable condition for realizing the U.S. scenario for making a preemptive nuclear strike. It is the strategic intention of the U.S. to round off the modernization of its nuclear forces and contain hostile states with an unchallenged nuclear edge and thus establish world-wide hegemony. The world today is not the one as the U.S. considers to be. The U.S. would be well advised to face up to the reality and drop its dangerous scenario for a preemptive nuclear attack. |
