Rodong Sinmun Monday says this in a signed commentary.

Last year the Japanese reactionaries more persistently pursued the hostile policy towards the DPRK than ever before, the commentary notes, stressing that their fascist suppression of Chongryon was a direct political provocation to the DPRK because it was perpetrated as an extension of the said hostile policy.

Citing facts to prove that last year the Japanese reactionaries made desperate efforts to stifle Chongryon, a legitimate overseas citizens' organization of the DPRK, and its affiliated commercial associations, it says:

The era changes and the history advances. But, Japan's hostile policy to stifle the DPRK remains unchanged, going to the extremes now.

The suppression of Chongryon means violation of the sovereignty of the DPRK. If the Japanese reactionaries' anti-Chongryon moves are allowed, they may more arrogantly run amuck and mount a preemptive attack on the DPRK without hesitation in the end. Their hostile action towards the DPRK can never be overlooked, though it is trifle, but should be decisively frustrated.

A good faith does not work on Japan. Exercise of strong sovereignty only can work on the Japanese reactionaries.

The Korean people are keeping a sharp watch on their reckless moves against the DPRK and suppression of Chongryon, and will take merciless reprisal if they dare ignite a military provocation against the DPRK.
