The Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government have pursued their foreign policy the idea of which is independence, peace and friendship, thus developing the friendly and cooperative relations with various countries of the world, raising its international prestige of the country, boosting the international solidarity with the Korean revolution and greatly contributing to the cause of global independence.

The DPRK has maintained the revolutionary stand of approaching and settling everything its own way from the steadfast stand of Juche and on the principle of independence despite whatever difficulties and ordeals in the way of the Korean revolution for a long period.

The DPRK has developed the relations with other countries in its field of external activities on the principle of complete equality, mutual respect and non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries. It has always independently solved all issues arising in external relations in line with its own judgment and decision, proceeding from the interests of the Korean revolution.

The article recalls that the DPRK has greatly contributed to defending the peace and security of the world and the Korean people fully supported the world progressive people in their struggle to defend their sovereignty from domination and subjugation.

The imperialist aggression forces' policy of war and their moves for domination are the greatest obstacle lying in the way of achieving global independence in the present century, the article says, and goes on:

The reality requires progressive mankind to intensify the struggle for achieving the cause of global independence.

The WPK and the DPRK government will dynamically advance to achieve the cause of global independence under the uplifted banner of Songun, keenly aware of their historic missions and responsibilities in the future, too.
