All Koreans Called upon to Frustrate War Moves of Aggressor Forces

Pyongyang, January 8 (KCNA) -- All the Koreans at home and abroad should dynamically wage the nationwide struggle to frustrate the reckless moves stepped up by the bellicose forces at home and abroad to threaten the peace of the country and push the military tension on the Korean Peninsula to an extreme phase, obsessed with the wild ambition to invade the north.

Rodong Sinmun today says this in a signed article.

Citing facts to prove that peace of the Korean Peninsula last year was seriously threatened by the reckless confrontation and war moves of the U.S. and south Korean warmongers and the situation always remains so tense on the peninsula that a war may break out any moment, the article goes on:

The reality eloquently proves that the Korean nation can achieve neither durable peace of the Korean Peninsula nor the independent reunification, peace and prosperity of the country unless an end is put to the U.S. military presence in south Korea and moves for a war of aggression against the DPRK and the confrontation with it escalated by the Lee Myung Bak group, pursuant to outsiders' hostile policy towards it.

The reunification movement organizations and people from all walks of life at home and abroad should closely unite under the banner of peace against war to condemn every joint military exercise for aggression and arms build-up of the U.S. and disclose its criminal aim and frustrate it through joint actions.

All the fellow countrymen should decisively foil the confrontation and war rackets of the puppet warmongers, bearing in mind the truth that the independent reunification, peace and prosperity of the country can be achieved only through a patriotic struggle against the maneuvers of the Lee Myung Bak group for provoking a war of aggression against the DPRK.

The puppet warmongers would be well advised to behave themselves, bearing in mind that their reckless moves to start a war of aggression against the DPRK in collusion with outside forces is as foolish an act as jumping into fire with faggots on their back.

With no desperate moves to ignite the above-said war can the U.S. and south Korean bellicose forces break the will of the Korean nation to achieve independent reunification, peace and prosperity of the country.
