Pyongyang, January 9 (KCNA) -- A Democratic Congolese preparatory committee for celebrating February 16, birthday of General Secretary Kim Jong Il, was inaugurated with due ceremony in Kinshasa on Jan. 2.
Kamwiziku Octave, chairman of the National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of Democratic Congo who is secretary general of the African Regional Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee at the ceremony.
The chairman of the preparatory committee, in a speech, underscored the need to more briskly conduct the study and dissemination of the Juche idea and organize colorful events on the occasion of the February holiday.
