Pyongyang, January 9 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration in south Korea made public its new year resolution titled "Let us bring earlier the independent reunification by implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration" on Jan. 5.
The resolution recalled that last year the people came to realize through the candlelight actions that they are the driving force of history and social development and waged the vigorous struggle despite the violent oppression by the Lee Myung Bak regime.
The U.S. policy of confrontation came to failure, as the DPRK was delisted as a "state sponsor of terrorism", and the Korean nation's advance toward peace, prosperity and reunification of the Korean Peninsula has become an irresistible trend of the times, the resolution said.
This year the solidarity, it declared, will put to the fore the struggle for resignation of the Lee Myung Bak regime and intensify the struggle to defend and implement the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and build peace-keeping mechanism in the Korean Peninsula free from the U.S. forces.
