DPRK's Joint New Year Editorial Haile

Pyongyang, January 16 (KCNA) -- A lecture, a seminar and a reading session on the joint New Year editorial of newspapers of the party, the army and the youth league of the DPRK took place in Mexico, the Czech Republic and Uganda from Jan. 6 to 8. Alberto Anaya Gutierrez, coordinator (leader) of the National Coordinating Committee of the Workers' Party of Mexico, said in the lecture that the joint editorial published in leading papers of the DPRK on the occasion of the New Year serves as a programme to be held fast to by the Workers' Party and the people of Korea in their drive this year as it reflected the outstanding Songun idea and firm will of General Secretary Kim Jong Il to successfully carry out the last instructions of President Kim Il Sung. He said his party hopes that the WPK and the Korean people would bring about a new great revolutionary surge with the might of Songun and thus make a leaping advance in building a great prosperous powerful socialist nation this year under the leadership of Kim Jong Il. He added that his party will develop the friendly and cooperative relations with the WPK. Jaroslavc Kafka, chairman of the Czech Group for the Study and Materialization of the Juche Idea who is chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association, said at the seminar that last year was the year of a historic turn that recorded the chapter of brilliant victory in the history of Korea, a year that witnessed the significant celebration of the 60th anniversary of the DPRK. Noting that the joint editorial issued in the DPRK on the occasion of the New Year 2009 is very important and significant, he wished the Korean people greater achievements in their efforts for building an economic power. Ristiyanto, general secretary of the National Guidance Council of the Vanguard Party of Indonesia, in his statement published on Jan. 6 in support of the joint New Year editorial expressed the belief that the Korean people would achieve greater successes in the struggle to reunify the country under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il. |
