"Snow Falls" is a masterpiece of national value which demonstrated the successful development of the Juche-oriented music and art as it perfectly embodied the Workers' Party of Korea's original ideas on literature and art calling for creating orchestra, chorus and mood of Korean style.

A ceremony of awarding state commendation took place at the April 25 House of Culture on Thursday.

Present at the ceremony were Kim Jong Gak, first vice-director of the General Political Bureau of the Korean People's Army, and creators and artistes of the State Merited Chorus.

At the ceremony Kim Il Sung Prize was awarded to the orchestra and chorus and honorary titles, orders and medals to creators and artistes of the State Merited Chorus.
