The book contains 38 works of President Kim Il Sung including speeches, conclusions and talks made by him between July and December, Juche 72 (1983).

His speech "The DPRK Represents Genuine People's Power and Is a Banner of the Unity and Solidarity of the Masses" made at a banquet in celebration of the 35th anniversary of the foundation of the DPRK indicates the ideas and policies for strengthening the DPRK government, a powerful weapon for the revolution and construction, enhancing its function and role, achieving national reunification and making the whole world independent.

"Let Us Bring about a New Turn in Socialist Economic Construction", "On Concentrating Our Efforts on the Five Fronts of Socialist Economic Construction", "A Speech at the Permanent Committee of the Administration Council of the DPRK" and his other works clarify tasks and ways for further developing the economy of the country and drastically improving the standard of the people's living.

In "On Some Problems Arising in Working Out Plan of the National Economy Next Year", "On Establishing the Revolutionary World Outlook among the Officials" and other works the President underscored the need to correctly combine the organization of economic affairs, the party's political work and collective guidance and unified command, realize the unified and detailed planning and also the need for the officials to firmly establish the revolutionary world outlook and hasten the revolution and construction.

The book also contains such works as "Let Us Shatter Imperialist Moves towards Aggression and War and Safeguard Peace and Independence" and "For the Development of the National Culture of the Newly-Emerging Countries". They give answers to questions arising in defending world peace and realizing the independent development of the countries.
