Pyongyang, January 18 (KCNA) -- Preparatory committees for commemorating the Day of the Sun and February 16 were formed with due ceremonies in Nigeria and Denmark on Jan. 12.
M. M. Alhassan, chairman of the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, and Anders Kristensen, chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association, were elected chairmen of the preparatory committees at the ceremonies.
The Nigerian preparatory committee set the days from January 12 to April 30 as a commemoration period and decided to actively hold colorful events for widely introducing the great personality and immortal feats of the three commanders of Mt. Paektu and the Korean people's struggle and supporting the cause of Korea's reunification in the period.
The Danish preparatory committee decided to arrange colorful political and cultural events, including a rally, a remembrance meeting and a film show, on the occasions of the Day of the Sun and the February holiday.
