Pyongyang, January 18 (KCNA) -- Sessions of reading the joint New Year editorial published by the newspapers of the party, the army and the youth league in the DPRK were held by the Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism and the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association on Jan. 8 and 12.
Speeches were made at the reading sessions.
Ramon Jimenez Lopez, president of the Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism, said that the joint editorial serves as highly important guidelines reflecting General Secretary Kim Jong Il's Songun idea and far-reaching plan on the prosperity of the DPRK.
He hoped that the Korean people would increase the might of Songun in every way, intensify the political and ideological offensive and create the speed of general advance in the era of Songun this year and thus make great strides in attaining the grand objective to open the gate to a great prosperous and powerful nation in 2012 that marks the centennial birth anniversary of President
Kim Il Sung.
Anders Kristensen, chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association, and other speakers expressed belief that the Korean people under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il would surely carry out the tasks for building a thriving nation and reunifying the country, laid down in the joint editorial, holding high the banner of Songun.
