All the external activities of the DPRK are strictly subordinated to embodying and adhering to the idea of independence, peace and friendship in the international relations.

The DPRK has positively pushed ahead with the development of sound international relations by solving all issues arising in the foreign relations as required by global independence from the Juche-oriented viewpoint.

The DPRK has firmly defended the sovereignty of the country and the dignity of the nation and accelerated the world-wide onward movement for independence even under the complicated international situation by positively enforcing an independent and principled foreign policy.

Despite the grim situation, the DPRK has firmly held fast to and pursued the independent and principled foreign policy under the uplifted banner of Songun. The DPRK has decisively foiled the moves of the U.S. imperialists and their followers for military aggression and their all sorts of threats and, at the same time, established and developed the friendly, cooperative and good neighborly relations with those countries that respect the sovereignty of the DPRK and desire to improve the relations with it.

By pursuing the independent and principled foreign policy the DPRK has made a great contribution to destroying the old international order, establishing the sound international relations and achieving the historic cause of humankind for making the whole world independent.

The DPRK's foreign policy and its external activities have enjoyed sympathy from many countries of the world and serve as an example to be followed by them as it has firmly maintained the principle of independence and never allowed any concession over the revolutionary principles.

It has positively contributed to boosting the friendly and cooperative relations with non-aligned countries and other developing countries and strengthening the unity of the anti-imperialist independent forces of the world.

The DPRK will consistently follow its independent foreign policy in the future, too, to enhance its international prestige and say, strengthen the international solidarity with the Korean revolution and accelerate the cause of the global independence.
