Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) -- Of late the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan made public an " action policy" for 2009 in which it called for inheriting the visit to "Yasukuni Shrine" as a responsible conservative party. Rodong Sinmun Thursday observes in a signed commentary in this regard: The LDP's call for inheriting the visit to "Yasukuni Shrine" is nothing but a move to defend the Japanese imperialists' blood-stained past history and accelerate the revival of militarism. Such rash action taken by the LDP to lay it down as its "action policy" to inherit the visit to "Yasukuni Shrine" is a criminal act little short of rubbing salt into the unhealed wounds of the Asian people, victims of the Japanese imperialists' bestial atrocities. The LDP's "action policy" precisely means the line and policy of the Japanese government. Herein lies the greater danger of the above-said action taken by the LDP to single out the inheritance of the visit to "Yasukuni Shrine", a center for disseminating the militarist idea, as part of its "action policy." Militarization is the LDP's political strategy and ultimate goal. The above-mentioned action taken by the LDP makes it easy to guess what phase the moves to make the Japanese political circles veer to the Right and militarization have reached. The above-said move of the LDP fully reflects the reality of Japan where there is a strong whirlwind for reviving militarism. It is, therefore, as clear as a pikestaff that the campaign for inciting the militarist idea and stepping up militarization will gather further momentum in Japan this year under the manipulation of the LDP forces. The international community is called upon to heighten the vigilance against the reckless moves of the Japanese reactionaries for reviving militarism. |
