Pyongyang, January 27 (KCNA) -- A Bangladeshi national preparatory committee for commemorating the Day of the Sun and February 16 was formed in Dhaka on January 20 on the joint initiative of the Workers' Party, the National Socialist Party, the Communist Party, the Socialist Party and the People's League of Bangladesh and the Bangladesh-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee.
Garib Newaz, president of the People's League of Bangladesh, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.
The committee decided to hold colorful functions such as meeting, seminar and photo exhibition highly praising the greatness and immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary
Kim Jong Il on the occasions of the said days.
