Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- Traitor Lee Myung Bak and gentries of the Grand National Party of south Korea, his yesmen, are now focusing their efforts on railroading such fascist bills as "bill on the revision of the law on the National Intelligence Service," "bill on the revision of the law on assembly and demonstration" and "bill on the revision of the law on media" through the next "extraordinary session of the National Assembly." Rumor about "the second legislative war" is afloat in the political circle. Rodong Sinmun Sunday observes in a signed commentary in this regard: The bills which the group of traitors is working hard to adopt are not the ones that reflect the wishes of the people and call for social democracy but are aimed at putting the people under the yoke of fascism. It goes on: In a word, the group seeks to make the forces for the progressive pro-reunification movement in south Korea fall victim to the fascist dictatorship by invoking more stringent fascist laws. As for the "pro-north leftist forces" which the fascist junta threatens to stamp out, they deserve the praise of the fellow countrymen, far from becoming the target of suppression, because they are the progressive pro-reunification movement organizations and patriotic figures that have struggled for the independence and democracy of south Korean society and national reunification, opposed to its unpopular misrule and confrontation with fellow countrymen. The moves intensified by the successive reactionary ruling quarters to strengthen their fascist dictatorship in south Korea have been accompanied by confrontation with the DPRK without exception. What Lee and his group seek are, in the final analysis, not democracy but fascist dictatorship and not national reconciliation but inter-Korean confrontation. Lee is unable to survive without terrorism at the point of bayonet and prolong his political career without turning south Korea into a prison without iron bars and drenching it with the blood shed by people. His true colors as a fanatic fascist dictator have been brought to light. Fascist suppression is by no means a cure-all and a fanatic fascist dictator can never live out as he is forsaken by the people. The moves to strengthen the fascist dictatorial system can never stem the trend of the times toward independence, democracy and reunification in south Korea but this violent trend will only precipitate the doomsday of the dictator. |
