Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) -- The U.S. is amassing its air and naval hardware on the Korean Peninsula and its vicinity. This indicates that through such frantic arms build-up and intensified military actions in the Asia-Pacific the U.S. seeks to increase its military pressure upon the DPRK and ignite a new war in Korea at any cost. Minju Joson Tuesday observes this in a signed commentary. It goes on: To this end the U.S. regards it as its top priority task to secure an unchallenged edge in the military field. The U.S. is busy pushing ahead with its scenario to mount a surprise preemptive attack and deal a fatal blow at the DPRK after amassing its latest type military equipment on the Korean Peninsula and its vicinity and rounding off the posture to invade the DPRK. The military moves being taken by the U.S. with the Korean Peninsula as its theatre go to clearly prove that dialogue touted by it is no more than a smokescreen to slacken the vigilance of the DPRK and deceive the international community and the U.S. has already made a policy switchover to the option for solving the problem through a war. This is the very reason why a series of dialogues held between the DPRK and the U.S. have failed to register desired results. The problem between the DPRK and the U.S. remains unsettled due to the latter's attitude of waiting for an opportunity to do harm to the DPRK with a dagger hidden behind its belt. The U.S. would be well advised to clearly understand that its behavior of dealing with the DPRK with a black-hearted intention would get it nowhere. It is the steadfast stand of the DPRK to make no concession over the issue related to its dignity and security though its issues with the U.S. remain unresolved. Now is the time for the U.S. to clarify its stand on dialogue or war. |
