Pyongyang, February 4 (KCNA) -- Ristiyanto, secretary general of the National Guidance Council of the Vanguard Party of Indonesia, issued a statement on Jan. 29 on the occasion of the birthday of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
The statement noted with high appreciation that Kim Jong Il has wisely led the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people in the efforts to build a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation and achieve the country's reunification with his outstanding Songun politics, thus performing the undying feats on behalf of the country and the nation.
Today the DPRK has turned into a political and military power, which firmly defends the sovereignty of the country by its own strength and which no one dare provoke, it said.
It expressed the belief that the WPK and the Korean people under the Songun leadership of
Kim Jong Il would make a history of new great surge in the efforts to open the gate to a great prosperous and powerful nation in 2012 marking the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung.
