Rodong Sinmun Wednesday urges this in a signed commentary.

The statement made public by the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea dealt a heavy blow at the Lee group which has frantically pushed forward the dangerous moves for a war and confrontation with the DPRK while defiling the new era of national history that paved a wide avenue for reconciliation, unity, independent reunification, peace and prosperity as a "lost decade" and totally negating the basic ideas and principles for independent reunification, the commentary notes.

It cites facts to prove that traitor Lee has gone against the desire of the Koreans for reconciliation and reunification since he took office, pursuing his treacherous "policy towards the north."

Unity means strength and the key to the victory in the struggle, the commentary says, and goes on:

A decisive factor of frustrating the moves of the Lee group of traitors against reunification lies in the unity of the nation and a shortcut to independent reunification, peace and prosperity lies in that all Koreans in the north and the south and abroad should get united in the spirit of "By our nation itself."

If one remains a passive onlooker to the reality today when the group of traitors is working with bloodshot eyes to bring back the June 15 era of reunification for reconciliation and unity which was ushered in by the Koreans at the cost of blood and sweat to the dark age of confrontation and division, this will amount to committing an indelible crime against the times, the nation and history and posterity.

Only when all pro-reunification patriotic forces in the north and the south and abroad unite as one and take joint actions in the reunification movement, can they successfully meet the blatant challenge of the separatist forces and intensify the movement for independent reunification.
