Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- A Peruvian national preparatory committee and Venezuelan and Indonesian preparatory committees were inaugurated between Jan. 27 and 29 to commemorate the Day of the Sun and celebrate February 16.
The chairman of the People's Front of Workers, Peasants and Students of Peru, the general secretary of the C.C., the Peruvian Communist Party, the general secretary of the C.C., the Communist Party of Peru (Red Motherland), the chairman of the New Left Movement of Peru, the general secretary of the Revolutionary Socialist Party of Peru, the chairman of the Peruvian Coordinating Committee of Politics and Society, the chairman of the Peruvian Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea and the secretary general of the Peruvian-Korean Institute of Culture and Friendship were elected co-chairmen of the Peruvian national preparatory committee.
Omar Lopez, chairman of the Venezuelan National Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the Venezuelan preparatory committee and Ristiyanto, chairman of the Indonesia-Korea Association for Friendship and Cultural Exchange, chairman of the Indonesian preparatory committee.
The Peruvian national preparatory committee decided to organize a meeting and other colorful events in the capital city and local areas and widely introduce the greatness of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il through media until April 15.
The Venezuelan preparatory committee set a commendation and celebration period from mid-February to the end of April and the Indonesian preparatory committee from Feb. 11 to April 15. And they decided to hold colorful events in the period.
