A meeting for starting their study tour took place in front of the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo Memorial Tower in Hyesan City on Wednesday.

Present there were officials of the youth league, young working people and school youth and children from across the country.

The participants laid floral baskets and flowers before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the tower to pay homage to him.

A reporter and speakers at the meeting said that it is their great honor to visit Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the secret camp, a sacred place of revolution where he was born as the bright star of Mt. Paektu, on the occasion of his birthday.

They stressed that all the youth league officials and school youth and children should deeply grasp the immortal revolutionary exploits of the peerlessly great persons during their visit to the revolutionary battle sites and historic sites in the area of Mt. Paektu along the course of study tour pioneered by Kim Jong Il.

After the meeting the participants started their march.
