The harmonious whole of the leader and the popular masses is the source of the all victories of the Korean people.

The historical cause of national liberation and the great victory in the Korean War which the leader and people achieved by uniting closely in ideology and will are shining brightly with the prosperity of the DPRK.

Epoch-making miracles were wrought in succession in the DPRK under the banner of single-minded unity in the post-war period when everything fell short of need and conditions were harsh.

President Kim Il Sung visited the then Kangson Steel Works in December Juche 45 (1956) when the situation within and without the country was grim. He earnestly appealed to the workers to tide over the difficulties in the revolution, they trusting in him and he believing in them, saying the country would stretch its back if it could have ten thousand more tons of steel.

The deep loving care and trust of the President heralded the great era in which Chollima flew high in the sky over this land and became the motive force which enabled the Korean people to write a heroic epic in the chronicle of the revolution.

The workers of Kangson wrought the miracle of producing 120,000 tons of steel slab at a blooming mill with a rated capacity of 60,000 tons by shattering conservatism and passivism and racing at the speed of Chollima.

The flame of innovation that flared up at Kangson spread all over the country as the torch of the general advance of Chollima with the results that the furnace men of the then Kim Chaek Iron Works produced 270,000 tons of pig iron at a furnace with a rated capacity of 190,000 tons and the automakers turned out the first trial product in a matter of 40 days.

Meanwhile, builders of the capital city constructed houses for 20,000 households with materials, fund and workforce for 7,000 households and railway builders finished in two months and a half the railroad construction between Haeju and Hasong which would have taken 3 or 4 years at ordinary speed. Great leaping progresses were witnessed on all fronts of socialist construction.

The harmonious whole in Korea made it possible to carry out industrialization in the short period of 14 years, which had taken others several hundred years and turned the country into a socialist power of independence in politics, self-support in economy and self-reliance in defense, though the U.S. imperialists had predicted that it would be unable to rise up even in one hundred years.

The Korean people who have triumphantly covered the long road of revolution, firmly believing only in their leader are still working miracles and effecting innovations incessantly in the building of a great, prosperous and powerful nation, bringing another revolutionary upsurge with the might of harmonious whole.
