School Youth and Children Make Study Tour of Revolutionary Battle Sites and Historic Sites
Pyongyang, February 11 (KCNA) -- School youth and children from across the country visited General Secretary Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the Paektusan secret camp and made study tour of revolutionary battle sites and historic sites in the period from Feb. 4 to 10.

They laid floral baskets and flowers before the statues of President Kim Il Sung at the Pochonbo Revolutionary Battle Site and the Chongbong Bivouac and on the shore of Lake Samji and paid profound tribute to him.

At the Phochonbo Revolutionary Battle Site they deeply grasped the undying feats performed by
Kim Il Sung who imbued the Korean people with faith in sure victory by making a gunreport calling for annihilating the enemies in the homeland.

They visited the spring in Poso-ri, table land in Junghung, the Photae and Rimyongsu Revolutionary Sites and the Chongbong and Konchang Bivouacs. During this period they held a presentation on the reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerrillas, contest of group singing of revolutionary songs during the march, contest of publication of flashnews on successes in the march and question and answer contest, etc.

The school youth and children, who visited the Paektusan secret camp, sacred place of revolution, went round with keen interest the historical mementoes which are preserved at the old home with good care, being briefed on the fact that Kim Jong Il was born in a simple log cabin and grown up to be a great revolutionary.

Upon their arrival at Samjiyon County they went round various revolutionary relics, being briefed on the Samjiyon Grand Monument. Then they visited different places of the county township including Paektu Hall and the Samjiyon Schoolchildren's Palace, deeply grasping the wise leadership provided by Kim Jong Il who brought about eye-opening changes to the historic land.
