It was attended by Kim Hwa Hyo, chairman of the Association of Korean Social Scientists in Japan, Korean social scientists and officials of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon).

The seminar heard a speech made on the subject "Homeland that has greeted the era of a new great revolutionary surge" and other speeches.

The speakers referred to the fact that the people in the homeland are effecting great innovations and leaps forward day by day with the extraordinary determination to open the gate to building a great prosperous and powerful nation in 2012 at any cost holding aloft the torch of a new great revolutionary surge personally kindled by Kim Jong Il.

They spoke highly of the shining successes reported from the homeland, noting that there breaks the dawn of a new historic era in which President Kim Il Sung's cause of building a rich and powerful country and the centuries-old desire of the Koreans in Japan and all other Koreans will become a reality.

They vowed to make redoubled efforts to accomplish the patriotic cause of Chongryon full of firm conviction of victory true to the grandiose plan of the leader to achieve the historic cause of building a great prosperous and powerful nation under the banner of Songun.
