Crowded Ice Sports Training Center
Pyongyang, February 11 (KCNA) -- A lot of people visit the Ice Sports Training Center located on the picturesque bank of the River Pothong flowing across Pyongyang.

In the centre school youth and children are skating on the ice-rink, children playing like figure-skaters and adults teaching skating skills to them. Spectacular is the scene, indeed.

The center opened in February Juche 73 (1984) is one of the sports centers for developing sports science and technology of the country and promoting the physical fitness of children and people.

In the centre with a floor space of 12,000 square meters and an icy ground of more than 3,000 square meters people can practice various events of ice sports such as ice hockey, figure and speed skating all the year round. It is equipped well with all public service facilities including resting rooms, saunas, drying rooms and a dispensary.

Ice drilling apparatuses are provided by the center at state expense.

According to an employee of the center it, with a capacity of 400-500 people a day, is haunted by lots of people above the capacity nowadays.

A great number of working people and school youth and children as well as athletes are building up their physical strength and polishing their ice sports skills to their hearts' content.
