At the conference speakers recalled the fact that on the same day the prosecution, while announcing its results of the probe into the truth about the above-said killings of evacuees by the police, labeled the evacuees' sit-in strike "terrorism" and the south Korean Association of Evacuees a "force behind those spearheading illegal demonstrations" and, at the same time, declared the police which committed violence not guilty and decided not to hold the chief of the police accountable for approving the suppression.

This is aimed to conceal and falsify the truth behind the incident and brand the evacuees as "criminals," pursuant to the scenario which had already been worked out, they charged, adding:

It was obvious that the tragedy in Ryongsan was triggered off by the police's deliberate murder but the prosecution distorted the incident. This is little short of giving the assailants the permission to kill people.

They declared that they would call for a "state investigation" into the results of the said investigation, launch an overall struggle in the future including a sit-in strike on the emergency situation by representatives of the organization and carry on the resolute actions till the honor of the victims has been restored.

That day a candlelight rally took place in Seoul in protest against such shameful behavior of the puppet prosecution as falsifying the truth behind the killing of evacuees in Ryongsan by the fascist police.
