Rodong Sinmun Thursday says in a signed commentary in this regard:

What he uttered is no more than sophism intended to play down the gravity of the present catastrophic situation in which the inter-Korean relations are inching close to the brink of a war hour by hour. This betrays his sinister plot to evade the responsibility for having driven the inter-Korean relations to total collapse through his unprecedentedly reckless moves for confrontation with the north and stand against it to the end.

Accusing the traitor of having worked with blood-shot eyes in the past one year to escalate the confrontation with the DPRK with an eye to completely stop the inter-Korean relations from developing in favor of national reconciliation, unity and reunification, the commentary notes that in this period he has committed more hideous and graver crimes against reunification than what all the preceding dictators had committed.

The Lee group is a special class group of criminals who made overnight a mess of landmark achievements made in the inter-Korean relations thanks to the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.

It is nonsensical for the traitor to describe the deplorable reality of the inter-Korean relations, a product of his moves for confrontation with the DPRK, not as serious and play down his crimes. It is an unpardonable deception and mockery of the public opinion at home and abroad.

The group has committed so hideous crimes against reunification and brought about so deplorable reality of the relations that it can hardly conceal the gravity of the situation in which these relations have been driven into a crisis of total severance nor can it justify its crimes.

Explicitly speaking, there is no future for such traitors as Lee. He will not be able to escape a more wretched and miserable end than what traitor Kim Young Sam met as he was thrown into a dumping ground of history without having any chance to have inter-Korean dialogue during the tenure of his office.

There is no reason to wait and see any longer as it has become obvious that Lee is an unequaled traitor with whom Koreans cannot live under the same sky and it is hard reality that neither the peace of the country nor its reunification can be achieved as long as such guy is allowed to stay in power. Only a stern punishment of history and the nation awaits him.
