Present there were senior officials of the party, the army and the state, leading officials of party and armed forces organs, ministries and national institutions and working people's organizations, servicepersons of the Korean People's Army, members of the 618 Construction Shock Brigade and officials and working people of Ryanggang Province.

Led by KPA Vice Marshal Kim Yong Chun, vice-chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and minister of the People's Armed Forces, all the participants in the rally firmly vowed to share idea, will and destiny with Kim Jong Il and remain true to the WPK's Songun leadership.

They stressed that they would bring about great innovations and leap forward unprecedented in the history of the country on all fronts for building a thriving nation, breathing the same breath with
Kim Jong Il making a forced march, and thus make a new history of great surge in the 21st century and usher in the great heyday of Songun Korea.

They resolved to provide a firm military guarantee for building a rich and powerful nation by making sustained utmost efforts for bolstering the nation's military power and establishing the trait of giving importance to the army and military affairs throughout the society and remarkably increase the core and vanguard role of the People's Army in bringing about a great revolutionary surge in the era of Songun.

They also vowed to dynamically struggle to open the gate to a great prosperous and powerful nation and achieve the final victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche by giving fullest play to the indomitable mental power and all potentials which have been built in the drive of Songun, true to the idea and leadership of Kim Jong Il.

Fireworks were displayed to beautifully decorate the sky above Jong Il Peak when the above-said secret camp was pervaded with the hot wind of unbounded reverence and praise of the peerlessly great man.
