Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- The workers' art squad of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea gave an art performance at the Central Hall of Workers on Feb. 12 to celebrate the birthday of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
Put on the stage of performance were such colorful numbers as male solo "Listen to the Then Voices of Emotion," dialogic poem "Torch of Kangson," serial songs "Thanks to Kim Jong Il's Songun Politics," mixed duet "The Blue Sky over My Country," female solo "Song of Front Rankers in Chollima Movement" and male chorus "Let's Dash Forward to Build a Great Prosperous and Powerful Nation."
The performers highly sang of the great delight and deep emotion to which the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters and other Korean people gave rein, heralding the birth of Kim Jong Il as the bright star of Mt. Paektu. And they highly praised the immortal exploits of Kim Jong Il who raised the dignity and might of Songun Korea to the highest level with his distinguished political ability, prodigious grit and brilliant wisdom.
They also represented well the revolutionary enthusiasm and stamina of the workers and other people of the DPRK determined to proudly build a thriving socialist nation by effecting great innovations and leap forward unprecedented in the history of the country through the grand march of Chollima in response to the call of the Party.
The performance was appreciated by Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea Kim Jung Rin and others.
