It was appreciated by senior officials of the party, army and state, officials of the party, armed forces and power organs, ministries and national institutions, labor innovators, working people in Pyongyang, congratulatory groups and delegations of overseas compatriots and overseas Koreans, and the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front.

Present there on invitation were diplomatic envoys of foreign countries and staff members of foreign embassies and representatives of international organizations here and foreign guests.

The art performance began with female solo and chorus "Cantata to Comrade Kim Jong Il". The repertoire included orchestra and chorus "General Is the Destiny of Korea", dance "Old Home Clad in Frostworks" and female solo "Greeting Spring at Foot of Jong Il Peak".

The performers sang high praises of the sacred revolutionary history and great feats of Kim Jong Il who rose up as the bright star of Mt. Paektu and ushered in a new era of prosperity unprecedented in the history of the Korean nation while leading the revolutionary cause of Juche to victory and glory with his extraordinary wisdom, outstanding leadership and matchless grit and pluck.

Meanwhile, concerts were given by artistes of the State Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Yun I Sang Music Institute and the revolutionary drama "Woman Comrade of Mt. Paektu" was staged by artistes of the State Theatrical Company and there was an acrobatic performance at various theatres here on the same day.

Art performances were also given at provincial art theatres and city and county houses of culture including North Hamgyong Province, North Hwanghae Province, Kangwon Province and North Phyongan Province Monday on the same occasion.
