Pyongyang, February 20 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, traitor Lee Myung Bak took an action to replace members of what he called the "advisory council for unification" with ultra-right conservatives, his confidants. Meanwhile, at the prodding of the traitor, the chief vice-chairman of the "advisory council for democracy, peace and unification" and other riff-raffs toured different parts of south Korea to let loose provocative remarks that the deteriorated inter-Korean relations are a product of what they called "tactics for engaging the U.S. and blocking south Korea" and they are attributable to someone's "internal situation." Rodong Sinmun Friday observes in a signed commentary in this regard: Lee's intention to carry out a wholesale reshuffle of the "advisory council for unification" is a revelation of his sinister aim to maintain his "policy towards the north" rebuffed and condemned at home and abroad by all means and realize his criminal scenario at any cost. Lee's reorganization of the above-said council with ultra-right conservatives is an unpardonable mockery and challenge to all Koreans aspiring after the improved inter-Korean relations, independent reunification, peace and prosperity. The action taken by Lee clearly indicates that he is set to further escalate confrontation with fellow countrymen in reliance upon this anti-reunification organization, far from putting the deteriorated inter-Korean relations on track. The ulterior aim sought by him through the above-said action is to cover up the crimes he has committed by bedeviling the inter-Korean relations that had favorably developed and calm down the people's anger by setting the confrontational maniacs in motion and, at the same time, give further momentum to his anti-DPRK confrontational racket in a bid to realize his ambition to do harm to it come what may. The Lee group should bear in mind that its moves to escalate the confrontation with the DPRK would only trigger off bitterer resistance and resentment at it among the people from all walks of life in south Korea. The Koreans will not remain a passive onlooker to those moves of the Lee group of traitors but surely bring down a sledgehammer on their heads. |
