Pyongyang, February 21 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il was presented with the title of honorary professor by the Maharishi College of Technology of Ecuador on the occasion of his birthday.
A ceremony of conveying the certificate of the title took place at the college on Feb. 12.
Present there were Alba Chavez, director of the International Institute of the Juche Idea and vice-chairwoman of the Latin American and Caribbean Regional Committee to Support the Reunification of Korea, and Jenny Moran Cardenas, rector of the college, and others, and members of the DPRK group for cooperation in Koryo medicine active in the country.
The certificate was handed to the head of the group at the ceremony.
Written on the certificate of the title of honorary professor are letters "The Maharishi College of Technology of Ecuador has the honor to present the title of honorary professor to the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il who has made a great contribution to humankind by inheriting and developing the Juche idea. The Council of the Maharishi College of Technology of Ecuador. Guayaquil, February 12, 2009."
