Pyongyang, February 23 (KCNA) -- President of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly Kim Yong Nam and Premier Kim Yong Il of the DPRK sent a message of sympathy to President Hu Jintao and Premier of the State Council Wen Jiabao of China on Monday as regards the gas explosion in a coal mine in Shanxi Province, China, that caused heavy casualties.
Extending deep sympathy and consolation to the president and the premier of China and, through them, to the Chinese government and people and the victims and their bereaved families, the message heartily hoped that the people in the afflicted area would eradicate the aftermath of the disaster and lead a stabilized life as soon as possible under the leadership of the Communist Party and government of China.
