Alma Mater of Woman Soccer Aces
Pyongyang, February 26 (KCNA) -- Juvenile sports schools in the DPRK are training lots of promising reserves of woman footballers.

The juvenile sports school in Rakrang District, Pyongyang, is well known for having trained a number of footballers who have distinguished themselves in recent international games.

Jon Myong Hwa, a forward who was awarded bronze football-shoe prize at the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup New Zealand 2008, Ri Un Ae, a centre back who was active in the same football games, Yang Hye Ryon, Ro Chol Ok and Ri Yong Mi who made contributions to their team's capture of the title at the 1st AFC U-16 Women's Championships, Ri Jong Sim, a forward who earned fame at the 2008 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, and Phi Un Hui, who was the goal-keeper of the national selection were all graduates from the school.

The school started the training of reserves of woman footballers in 1995. Its top target is to produce world-level aces.

With a full grasp of the global trend of soccer development, it helps them acquire strategy and tactics suited to it.

It selects trainees of good physical condition and intelligence and teaches them special skills in dribbling, flying kicking and heading.

Now graduates from the school are doing their bit in famous sports teams at home.
