The resolution said that all the fellow countrymen are now astonished at the treacherous and anti-reunification moves of Lee Myung Bak driving the inter-Korean relations into the worst phase of confrontation.

It charged that Lee bedeviled the inter-Korean relations with the concept of extreme confrontation that "it is the ultimate goal to unify the country under the liberal democratic system" and is escalating military threat to the north in league with foreign forces while turning his back on the nation and getting frantic in suppression of the progressive forces.

There is nothing to expect from the present regime which is making the south Korean society pro-U.S. conservative and driving it into confrontation with the DPRK, it said, and went on:

We should counter the anti-reunification moves of the Lee Myung Bak regime with the nationwide reunification offensive and its suppression with the more vigorous struggle for unity.

The independent reunification, the requirement of the times and the desire of the people, can never be checked no matter how despicably and desperately such anti-reunification maniacs as Lee are working.

Let us advance, holding higher the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, the banner of independent reunification, peace and prosperity.
